When booking classes through Lessons in Movement, we ask only for as much of your data as is necessary to satisfy our insurers requirements – things such as your name and contact details. We may occasionally contact you, for example, if there’s a change in class arrangements or to let you know about future Lessons in Movement events (this is managed under Legitimate Interests and you may opt out of promotional emails at any time by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org). Data we hold on you is used solely by Jonathan Hunter-Rowe and Gillian Patrick in the running of classes through Lessons in Movement; we do not share your data with third parties.
We take the protection of your data seriously; it is held securely and is accessible through passwords known only to us. We keep notes for our own reference and development from our public classes; ensuring any reference to individuals will be unidentifiable. We need to keep more detailed notes for each one-to-one session to comply with our insurers requirements; these will detail what we covered in the session and help inform future appointments.
We may record the audio of the online classes we run on Zoom. The recordings will only be used by us – Jonathan Hunter-Rowe and Gillian Patrick – to help us improve the service we provide you. The audio recordings may be made available at our discretion – but this will be solely the lessons and will not include any chat before or after class. Should you wish to request a copy of any information we hold about you please do not hesitate to contact us, we will be happy to share this with you (subject access request).
We will hold your data for as long as our insurers require us to – this will be for a minimum of seven years. We will periodically review the data we hold and delete anything we no longer need.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding our approach to Data Protection, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
